Workshop:  The First Step in Entrepreneurship and Small Business DevelopmentThis workshop is for existing and new entrepreneurs and small business owners. This interactive workshop allows participants to strategically plan, organize, and development their business startups (hands-on approach) with industry professionals covering every aspect of business from dream to implementation. Participants will develop the ability to see the world with an entrepreneurial eye and become conscious of profit building opportunities all around you. You will turn your idea into a startup through an entrepreneurial process. You will learn and apply practical, applicable techniques used by successful entrepreneurs all over the world. You will structure and legally organize your business as a DBA, Corporation, For- Profit or Not for Profit, create By-Laws and develop your business plan.  64 hours

Workshop:  Second Step – Startup Funding for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners

Participants will learn how to get your new venture funded. You will understand capital structure for new ventures and develop an understanding of presenting your venture for success funding. You will examine the many financing options available to get your startup funded.  This workshop covers 1) the early stage of raising startup capital; 2) Sources of capital for the Startup Stage; 3) Steps in the Funding Process; 4) Closing – Getting Your Startup Funds. You will complete an official application for funding. Prerequisite workshop requirement – The First Step in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development. 16 hours
